Saturday, November 4th (hours vary) Who doesn’t like a freebie? Bank of America and Merrill Lynch card holders can get complimentary admission to seven New Jersey museums and 9 NYC museums-– all of them family-friendly — the first weekend of each month. Just present your credit or debit card and a picture ID for one free general admission. Visitors still have to pay for children’s admission. Locations include Liberty Science Center, The Montclair Art Museum. The Intrepid Air and Space Museum and The Met!
Saturday, November 4th 12:00 PM-3:00 PM Jersey City’s 3rd annual Parade of Veterans and Heroes is taking place Saturday, November 4th! The parade will march along the Newark Avenue side of Dickinson HS and will include many parade floats, marching bands, military vehicles, local ROTC cadets, color guards, active and former military personnel from all branches of the armed forces, VFW members, AMVETS, and other organizations that support and honor our veterans and heroes. With nearly 2,000 participants in the 2016 parade, it has quickly become NJ’s premier destination parade in honor of those who keep America safe and free. Following the parade, a Veterans Resource Fair will be held on the grounds of City Hall, 280 Grove Street. The Fair will provide veterans with the opportunity to obtain useful information. A live band, display of motorcycles and vintage automobiles, and child friendly activities will be on hand for entertainment purposes. Food vendor trucks will also be available.

Calling all souls to Three Little Birds in Jersey City for a Dia de los Muertos PJ Party! Join us for our sugary sweet party celebrating the Day of the Dead. We will be watching the movie Book of Life, dancing like there is no tomorrow and creating the coolest sugar skull crafts! PJs or Day of Dead costumes are a must! Saturday and Sunday November 4th and 5th 8:30am to 10:00am Join the stampede over to The Turtle Back Zoo Bison Breakfast: a morning event that features the zoo’s three American Bison as its educational focus. Enjoy a hot breakfast while exploring the historical and environmental importance of the American Bison and how they went from near extinction to thriving. The event will be located at the Savanna Café and the viewing patio in front of the American Bison exhibit. Join our Park Naturalist on this guided walk and learn how to identify some of our trees by their fall colors. The walk will begin at the Park Office located at 200 Morris Pesin Drive. Sunday November 5 th 3:00 PM-5:00 PM Last opportunity of the season! Take a guided nature walk along one of the nature center’s trails with an Environmental Educator at the Tenafly Nature Center Whether a new visitor or a repeat guest, participants will enjoy different sensory experiences in the forest each month. All ages welcome; children must be accompanied by an adult. Sorry! The trails are not stroller friendly.
